The alarm works as it should do. The lizard leather exterior is generally good, but it's a bit brittle in places and has come away from the metal at the end of the standing support (visible at the bottom of the 5th photo). The skin has also come away from the reverse of that support, which has been painted to blend it in (see 7th photo). This isn't really a visible part of the clock though. There's some loss to the gold plating on the bezel. Despite its age-related wear, it's still a very attractive working item.
